About Remedy’s Rx Duke Pharmacy
We are an independent community pharmacy in Toronto, Ontario, that opened for business in 2017. It was a slow start, but we’ve been growing ever since and have become a staple in the neighborhood by meeting the community’s health needs.
We render prescription medications, consultations, vaccine injections, and sell various health and beauty related products. While we are not yet set up for e-commerce, we provide online services, including prescriptions refill requests.
We serve mostly clients in the Junction and offer delivery services across the GTA.
The Remedy’s Rx Duke Pharmacy Difference
Unlike the big chain pharmacies, our main goal is offering professional pharmacy services. Our specialty is medications and health and not groceries, cosmetics or electronics. With the growing complexity of new therapeutic treatments coming into the market every year, it is more important than ever to have a professional pharmacist who knows you and your medical history and who can dedicate all his time to help you optimize your medication needs.
Being a small pharmacy allows us to get to know our patients better and help us to provide more personalized services. We believe that every patient is unique in terms of their medical conditions and needs as such, we strive to customize our services to meet their unique expectations. We usually get to know our patients down to a more personal level which helps build trust and better continuity of care. You will always find a familiar face who will greet you by your first name and know all your drug allergies, medical conditions, your likes and dislikes of medications, etc. You will never have to recite your whole history every time you step in the pharmacy.
Being a low volume pharmacy allows us to spend more time to talk to our patients about their medications. An important aspect of our job is to work with patients in order to understand their concerns and fears and provide as much information about their medications so they can get the best out of them. When problems arise that can interrupt a patient medication treatment, we like to work with our patients to offer solutions. For example, if they live for half the year in Florida, we can arrange six months’ medical supplies for them. We can even deliver in and out of the country if they cannot visit us like when borders were closed due to the pandemic. If the patient has lost their job and can’t afford medicines, we can help them find drug coverage or make suitable arrangements.
Our dream for the future is to hire new staff, which will allow us to continue to spend more time with patients and exceed their expectations. We also endeavor to upgrade our IT infrastructure to allow patients access to their medical history online. In turn, it will enable us to offer enhanced procedures to customers like online mobile refills and e-commerce. We will also be introducing and promoting more professional services as soon as they get government approval, such as minor ailment treatments.
